Ensure all building works in the District meet the requirements of the Building Regulations and other relevant legislation and standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and standards to provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders.
Collaborate with local authorities, construction professionals, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and compliant building projects.
Drive continuous improvement in building inspection processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage workload and resources effectively to meet inspection targets, deadlines, operations to comply with our Quality Management System and the Building Safety Regulator published standards.
Commitment to continual professional development.
Registration with Building Safety Regulator (Class 2 minimum).
Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
In-depth knowledge of construction, the Building Act and Building Regulations and their application.
Experience in Building Control work at a senior level.
Self-motivated, flexible & enthusiastic.
Able to plan and co-ordinate a wide range of tasks.
Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
Able and willing to undertake work outside normal office hours.
