As the Area Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing service delivery, supporting colleagues, and handling a range of complex and high‑profile building control matters. You will act as a key point of technical expertise, contribute to strategic decision‑making, and ensure compliance, safety, and excellent customer service across your area.

- Support the Building Control Manager to deliver service objectives and priorities.
- Manage a varied caseload, focusing on complex or high-profile applications.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations and drive performance across the professional team.
- Mentor, guide, and support colleagues, sharing your technical expertise.
- Lead on enforcement and investigations.

Essential qualifications/skills
An experienced Building Control professional with at least 5 years’ experience
Registered at Class 2F with the Building Safety Regulator
A chartered member of a recognised professional body (e.g. CABE, CIOB)
Technically strong with excellent knowledge of relevant legislation
Proactive, flexible, and skilled in managing and motivating people
Committed to delivering high standards and making a positive community impact
