We are seeking an Enforcement Manager, you can make your own powerful contribution to people across Westminster. You’ll provide effective leadership to a team of specialists, evaluating a caseload that covers a full range of developments and complex schemes. You’ll provide high-level, expert professional and technical advice to colleagues, partner agencies and managers, acting as a source of guidance and expertise.
Through managing specialist or technical assessments and activities, you’ll successfully deliver the Building Control function throughout the Council’s jurisdiction, ensuring buildings comply with health, safety, sustainability, energy, conservation, accessibility, and design standards.
You’ll routinely review training, competency and licensing to ensure your team are qualified for the work they are undertaking, alongside conducting technical audits and assessments with surveyors. Collaborating with a wide range of external educational and government organisations, you’ll advance building control training, all whilst developing and maintaining excellent working relationships.
Most importantly, you’ll be a motivating, empathetic and supportive leader to your team, providing them with the expert level guidance they need to protect communities and residents across Westminster.

Professional membership of RICS/CABE/CIOB or similar relevant body.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Building Regulations, Building Act and Building Safety Act.
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Building Control, Building Surveying, Construction, Structural Engineering and/or be able to demonstrate learning at an equivalent level.
