In this management role, you will lead our small, but highly regarded Building Control team, dealing with a wide range of domestic and commercial projects.

You will provide the leadership and direction necessary to support the continuing development of the Building Control service and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, be organised and provide supervision to less experienced colleagues. You will promote agile ways of working and maximise the opportunities for digitisation, to provide a flexible and resilient service focused on our customer’s needs.

Our ambition is to grow the service so you will need to be forward thinking and motivated, with commercial awareness, and an ability to seek out new business opportunities and build partnerships with local enterprises.

Essential qualifications/skills
The postholder must be a full member of a relevant Chartered Association of Building Engineers or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors with a recognised qualification to degree level in construction.
